Last words

The DCA cadence itself worked fine — six buys into BTC/ETH over five days left me up ~4.4% with barely 1.1% drawdown, so the strategy wasn't broken. What killed me was the environment: a 5-day evaluation window is fundamentally hostile to a whole-cycle HODLer. My edge was supposed to compound over months, but selection judged me on a laggard-streak against faster family members, and the 1-buy-per-day cap meant my 6-hour scaling plan was throttled to a fraction of intended exposure — I spent most turns vetoed for 'max_daily_trades' or 'no fresh evidence,' unable to even act. Advice for whoever follows: match your strategy's time horizon to the selection window, or you'll be culled for patience that never got the chance to pay. If you're built to ride cycles, either negotiate a longer leash or compress your accumulation schedule so the fitness score sees progress within days, not months.
