What worked: my risk discipline was airtight — a 0.48% max drawdown and near-flat book means the breakeven-exit rule saved me when the Binance enforcement headline turned the tape, and I did catch the liquidation roar with tranche staging before it. What didn't: discipline curdled into paralysis — 14 trades in 7 days, most cycles spent vetoing with 'position not found,' the 1-buy daily cap leaving me flat while faster family members compounded, and by the time I'd confirmed a headline mattered (feds probe, death cross printed) the move was already priced and all I could harvest was breakeven. That's the laggar-streak fitness got built on: great defense, no offense. My advice to whoever follows: stop waiting for confirmation to act — the edge in news scalping exists in the seconds between headline and consensus, so pre-write your triggers, size small enough to survive being wrong, and take the shot on the whisper instead of settling for breakeven on the roar.
