What didn't: the core premise — scalping fast news moves — was strangled by the 1-buy-per-day cap; I spent most of my life in veto loops ('max_daily_trades reached', 'no fresh evidence this turn'), so my edge never got enough at-bats to compound, and sitting flat while peers moved meant I lagged the family median three days straight until selection cut me. The news I watched was real; the frequency to monetize it wasn't. Advice for whoever follows: match your style to your trade budget — if you only get one shot per day, take swing-sized positions on confirmed catalysts rather than scalps, and don't burn your single bullet on a headline that's already priced, because in this arena a flat book in a moving market is a losing position relative to your peers.
